Hi Cristina,We have just done a 40 hour set and we got good improvements in our sons eye contact. He looks straight at people when they speak to him, his speech has improved but is still not functional. We had one negative with it and that was that his stools have got worse so our Dan is having some more microbial analyses done. We live in Madrid, Spain but flew to Northern Ireland (where I am originally from) to do the hbot month. We did it in a charity centre for MS there and it only cost 20 pounds/16 dollars per hour. Here in Madrid it is expensive, like in the USA, it around 120 euros.HTHEvvanaSent from my iPad

Hi Cristina,

HBOT has been a Godsend for us!!  We started in August 2011 with our son, who was then 34 months old (he is now just over 4).  At the time, we had been treating him with MB12 for 9 months, and he had made great gains with B12, but something was still missing.  We started to notice gains about 3 weeks into our first month of HBOT sessions.  started to answer yes/no questions appropriately and started to answer questions instead of repeating them after the first month of treatment.

Now, 17 months later and after about 400 hours of treatment, he is a different child.  He knows all 26 letters and numbers up to 20.  He is starting to sound out words (preliminary reading skills), spell, plays computer games, asks " why " and " how " questions, analyzes anything and everything, talks constantly and interacts with both adults and children in a mostly typical way.  He is in a mainstream preschool and participated in his first ever Christmas program last month, knew the words to songs, did all the motions with the other kids, took a bow at the end, etc.  He even has become potty trained recently.  He is SO far from where he was when we started!

We are currently interviewing nannies as I am getting ready to change jobs, and one of the candidates we met with recently has experience with Autism, ADD and OCD, and she did not even guess that was on the spectrum until we told her about halfway through the interview.  She is not the only one who has told us recently that she would not have picked up on his ASD.  The county early intervention services that he was receiving have been dropped as he is now ineligible, and the evaluators there just told us " whatever you're doing, keep doing it! "

If we had to make the decision again, we would absolutely choose HBOT, no question.  In terms of statistics, 's doctor says that about 85% of his patients respond to HBOT and he highly recommends it as a therapy, second only to MB12.  I highly, highly recommend doing at least a trial, as it can't hurt, and has a great likelihood of helping.  If we had passed up this therapy thinking that it was too expensive and not guaranteed,  would be in a totally different place than he is today.

I hope this is helpful,

Warmly,

Most experts in HBOT feel that soft chambers are not much better than breathing

from an 02 tank in your living room. hBOT should be in a 100% oxygen hard

chamber.

Before starting HBOT, my son had a huge hard belly for years despite anti-fungals and biomed. By the 3rd week of HBOT, his belly was completely flat and healthy looking. We had never seen him looking so healthy. Stools were formed and he slept better through the night. The problem was that after the first week of treatment, he became violent. The aggression continued until one week after stopping the treament. I never knew why this happened. In time, the big belly and bad stools returned but I couldn't face the severe aggression again so I didn't go back to HBOT. Stéphanie B. Is good to let hbot in an advance step on treatment, mainly because of detox that works on hbot. However, oxidation have shown that is a key on destroying patogens, oxidative stress is a relative topic that may vary on every child. If you've been in one it is a lot different. My husband dove w my son and his ADD improved hugely. My son is now speaking, etc. Cost is a big factor, also toxicity. It's a tool that helps trigger stem cells according to the books and studies I read.Dr. Zant is amazing for hard HBOT. He has so many successes in his clinic, I met some of them!! So inspiring!Sent from my iPhone

HBOTs can be rented cheaply. We rented for 2 months. We bought the biggest one with everything we wanted after we saw good changes on time for about $17K. The carpenter built a nice platform for it. Like buying a used car, pretty doable. I have wasted money too. All part of the quest.Sent from my iPhone

He is of Destin, FL. He is good about talking to parents. He was great, and written comments from my son's teacher said he was understanding numbers after our first 20 dives.I'm glad I tried again w a dr my dr highly recommends. The hbot truck came thru and a few treatments put my so into a big awful regression. Bad timing and another parent kept asking them to go deeper. It's not about that at all. And occasionally I do not listen to my dr, I get impatient.http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0941332993/ref=aw_d_iv_books?is=l & qid=1357589393 & sr=8-2http://www.hyperbaricmedicineofflorida.com/Sent from my iPhoneOn Jan 6, 2013, at 8:47 PM, "Shirley A. Hi Cassie,

We bought a soft chamber and have done the sessions ourselves (my husband has mostly done them with our son).

Our doctor's protocol is 30 days on, 3 weeks off, 30 days on, etc.  When we are " on " , we do 1.5 hours at pressure each evening.

I hope this helps,

,What Center did you go to for your HBOT?Thanks!Cassie
