I am looking for advice on all the oxylate savvy folks....my son is dealing

with bacteria issues again...and I have been giving him high oxylate foods (not

on purpose just because there is not a whole lot of food choices in our house

right now).....I was wondering if there is a connection between the two ....

Channa,I think oxalate dumping can mimic bacterial reactions ( aggression, OCD, frequent urination ..) Your child can make oxalate endogenously so intake is only one variable. If you've ever run an OAT through GPL get it evaluated by Owens. By far one if the best things I've done for our son & she talks with you over skype. If you've not run an OAT try to get one - some insurance will cover ( BCBS) Find at trying_low_oxalates yahoo group. She's not only brilliant but a terrific communicator. Sent from my iPhone

This is a bit "woo," but every substance has a frequency. Coconut is very close, actually indistinguishable, from the frequency of yeast. Different kinds of mercury have different frequencies. The kind I was poisoned with in the lab was highly pure, like what is in fluorescents. Even before I knew this I was highly reactive to fluorescent lights.Sent from my iPhone

Wait,, does that mean using coconut oil in cooking or drinking coconut water might make yeast worse???Sent from my iPhone

It means the child's body and brain will react the same as having yeast, like a former gunshot victim can do if shot with a gun containing blanks. The body went into shock and the person had to be treated as if really injured. That is an inappropriate response but it was real. Same with coconut and many yeast sensitive people. The reaction would be mostly inflammation, but like the casein/gluten/soy/corn/ phenol/dye, etc. diets, who can recover someone whose brain is like an egg white cooking on low? When our first DAN! Peds md told me that was the consequence of feeding my child foods that inflamed his body and brain, I have had no problem staying on the diet in perpetuity.Sent from my iPhone

Are the carrots organic? My sister found some foods when organic did not trigger reactions. It was something on or in them.Sent from my iPhone

Actually, any carrots will do it. He's really reactive: some IgE symptoms as well. Oddly enough he reacts to GMO corn syrup but not organic... Pretty disturbing implications. I do think for some it's just the GMOsSent from my iPhone
