,Who are you seeing for the muscle testing? Also can you describe the protocol you used with the OLE, lauricidin and lysine? All at once? Rotation? Doses? Thanks,Sylvia

I think both Cheryl and Tammy had good advice I'll pitch in my two cents worth. We take H* to an Applied Kinesiologist who uses muscle testing. He is reknowned in his field -teaches all over the world- and has been able to make a difference when nothing else could. That being said, when we started this biomed journey and experimented with natural antivirals a year or so ago, he said these were not helping - waste of time . I told him I rieally thought they were, and I did see a difference and we continued. Within a few months of taking each: OLE, lauricidin, lysine, the muscle testing changed and they did strengthen H*. Dr S still sort of scratches his head. My thinking is that our childrens immune systems/nervous systems may not immediately notice things that can potentially help them/ or harm them for that matter. Keep a

journal and record what you see if you decide to remove the supplements.Hope this is helpful,Sent from my iPhone

You won't know if the NAET practitioner is right unless you start pulling things (one at a time) and see how it goes. With that said, I've known several people to do it with either not long lasting results or no results at all so i'm not a big believer.I'm not saying i'm right. I say go with whatever you feel is working and if you feel NAET is and you're seeing results, who am I to poo poo that? You'll find out one way or another whether whatever you choose to do is working.~CherylSent from my EVO. These are not the typos you are looking for...

I posted last week about our 15 month old who is showing red flags. Here's some more background:

My oldest DS (5) is in Kindergarten. We started noticing signs in him right around when he turned 2 (first child...didn't know what to look for). We started GFCF when he was 2 years 10 months while we were waiting to see a DAN. Then started biomed with DAN. We have seen lots of improvements in his physical health (bowels are normal, eczema gone, etc.) but behavior improvements have been slow. He has improved though and with a lot of biomed, he is now fully included in Kindergarten with the teacher having no knowledge of his autism. He is doing well but still struggles with attention issues. At home we still notice scripting (even though he is fully conversation now) and lots of noises/singing along with the attention issues.

We sort of took a step back on introducing any new supplements this year as we decided to start NAET to address food allergies and sensitivies (he was on a very restricted diet) and also to do far infrared sauna. We thought those were two big things and didn't want other stuff in the mix. He continued on previous supplements though. NAET has been wonderful at treating his food issues and he is now eating an unrestricted diet with no reactions at all. However, we haven't yet seen an improvement in lingering behaviors but we are still working on things with the NAET practitioner.

We were so impressed with the improvement in his food issues that we then started our 15 month old on NAET even though he doesn't show any obvious signs of food issues. He is currently on treatment #12 of the basic 15.

The problem that we are running into is that the NAET practitioner has energy tested both boys for the supplements that they are on (from our DAN doctor) and she is saying that many of them are doing more harm than good. For my older son, she is suggesting that we take him off of 75% of what he is on. We just don't know what to do. We are having a hard time reconciling the DAN/biomed protocol with the NAET protocol. Part of the problem is that she feels that synthetic supplements are not good on the body and yet that is what is recommended by most DAN doctors (and what is sold on the ourkidsasd website). So for example, with our younger son, we have an RBC mineral blood test which shows that he is extremely low in zinc so we started him on Kirkman's zinc. However, she shows that his body does not agree with that supplement and feels that now that he has been treated for minerals, his body should start absorbing zinc properly on its own.

What are your thoughts? We are really torn by this. We really feel like our older son has plateaued from a behavior standpoint so maybe we should listen to her and give her plan a go? On the other hand, biomedical interventions have more research and support than NAET so maybe we would be wasting precious time by not moving forward with the DAN's suggestions.
