Guest guest
Mag citrate can loosen stool. I would half or more the dosage. If that doesn't work after a few days i would try mag glycinate or mag malate. Sent from my iPhone > Hi > > I started my DS (2.9 yo) on Magnesium citrate since yesterday evening. Guest guest
Why did u start it?? Was he constipated?? When my son was about 3yo I found one of the better ways to insure magnesium supplementation was via Epsom salt baths I would put half a cup or more at bed time let him sit him for 20mins Sent from my iPhone Hi I started my DS (2.9 yo) on Magnesium citrate since yesterday evening. Guest guest
I agree with Amit. I would start LOW and go slow. Start with even 50mg per day. Also agree to change to Mag glycinate if that doesn't help. I am also trying a topical Magnesium preparation (Ancient minerals). I will keep you all posted about my experiences. We had severe GI issues and could only do tiny amounts of oral Mag.Sylvia Why did u start it?? Was he constipated?? Guest guest
You adjust as you go. For my daughter, who is constipated if I don't do supplementation, depending on her stool consistency, we give between 150-300 mg Mag Citrate (which includes Calcium) every day. Of course, for her that's not enough. So, we also give 100 mg Mag Glycinate and 250 mg. Vit C every day. I do this just so we're safe and not giving too much of any one thing. The poop consistency dictates the magnesium dosage. Mel > > Hi > > I started my DS (2.9 yo) on Magnesium citrate since yesterday evening. Given him only 2 doses of around 100 mg each. Guest guest
Our doctor recommends that the magnesium be given just before bed. We found problems with motion before. We still get a lot in the morning but it is better. To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, February 18, 2013 8:50 AM Subject: Re: Magnesium citrate - loose motion (Please help) You adjust as you go.
