Guest guest
Hi everyone, I haven't been on this forum in a while. Leia on the whole is a little more stable than she was a few months ago thanks to Dr. Bradstreet, a round of vancomycin and xifaxin and steady GCMAF. Her stools are definitely better but not perfect. Nor is her belly. The good doctor is recommending a fecal transplant but I live in Israel and I have just been assured by the head of pediatric gastroenterology at hadasah ein cerem that the chances of my being able to do it here are almost zero. Which puts me in a quandry.... especially when I have a sneaky feeling it might just help her even more. So my questions for the forum... Has anyone ever done one at home??? If so, how did you test and screen the donated stool? What about putting her to sleep beforehand? Has anyone done a fecal transplant with an actual person from the medical profession?? Thanks for your help
Guest guest
We have done a fecal transplant for our son who had chronic dysbiosis (yeast overgrowth and clostridia) for years!!! We used his 2 year old sisters stool. They are totally normal. She is unvaccinated and has never had an antibiotic. She also eats an organic diet. We did not screen her stool. We had the assistance of a professional who does colonics but really It can easily be done at home. What we did was clean him out staring the night before with laxative. We did medicate him with valium before the procedure so he would be relaxed. He didn't like it and did not relax much.... But she used a small bulb enema to flush the lower intestines. He got up and used the toilet. Then we slowly instilled the donor stool. We used her special equipment but you could probably use a regular soap suds enema bag that you can buy at the drug store. He held it in for about 20 min. when he went to the toilet nothing came out. He fell asleep in the car on the way home and finally when he came in and was running around the stool came out, not much though. It was like he absorbed most of it. We have not used or needed probiotics, antifungals, or antibiotcs since then. and that my friend is a miracle.... It was about 8 months ago. also he is tolerating foods he was reacting to before but we are giving digestive enzymes with those foods now. He has pretty stools If you have any questions email me > > > > Hi everyone, > > I haven't been on this forum in a while. Guest guest
Now this sounds interesting!! Dr Mcbride in her Gaps book briefly mentions it as something she believes would work but that little research is available about it!!!
