Guest guest
great post! yes I learned after three years of biomed that there was no "one diet" that would heal my son rather after years of careful food journaling...i found out what foods agreed with him and what didnt....and of course organic made from scratch cooking is what the foundation to any diet should be. Guest guest
Yes they all are so different in their reactivities. My son can now tolerate a lot more foods and some only a few times a week, but it's progress. We use muscle testing of an extensive list periodically and of course day-to-day observation. great post! yes I learned after three years of biomed that there was no "one diet" that would heal my son rather after years of careful food journaling...i found out what foods agreed with him and what didnt....and of course organic made from scratch cooking is what the foundation to any diet should be. Guest guest
Wow! Very enlightening article! We are seeing lots of improvement on LDN. More than we did with GAPS. we're still gluten free, organic, etc. but that is really all we're doing diet-wise. My new triple threat is LDN, high dose niacin and vitamin C. Guest guest
i give my son 1000mg he is 40 pounds i use twin lab and i use the flushing kind. be careful! as with all new supps /medicine start very very low and see/wait for reactions and work your way up. there will be a itchy feeling all over the body but you dont want it to be too uncomfortable...I took too much once and felt myself go into acidosis. Guest guest
Friends, I give 1000 mg twice per day (2000 mg total). I give a combo of straight up niacin and inositol hexaniacinate, which is a no flush variety. Channa is quite right to suggest ramping up VERY slowly, as the flushing can be uncomfortable. In order to dive right in, though, you can use 25 mg of niacin and, say two 750 mg caps of inositol hexaniacinate. I really recommend not using niacinamide if you can avoid it bc it can cause nausea at these doses. PLUS, niacinamide does not have all the circulation benefits as the inositol preparation. For a complete discussion, I highly recommend Niacin: The Real Story -- http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0000531CQ/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1356012909 & sr=8-1 & pi=SL75. Like, Channa I LOVE the detox that the regular niacin provides. Also, the flush diminishes with continued use. I encourage you all to read up on niacin. It is fascinating. I will never be without it. I take 3 grams (3000 mg) daily myself and I can really handle stress!! i give my son 1000mg he is 40 pounds i use twin lab and i use the flushing kind. be careful! as with all new supps /medicine start very very low and see/wait for reactions and work your way up. there will be a itchy feeling all over the body but you dont want it to be too uncomfortable...I took too much once and felt myself go into acidosis.
