Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have not been active on the forum for the last several months and want to apologize to all my friends here for not participating and helping. It has been crazy busy for my family with a lot going on w my son and some extended family. I am trying to work parttime as well which has not been easy w biomed journey. I just thought that I will share some positives that I experienced w biomed and I hope it may help at least some parents. My son was undergoing extensive evaluation w several specialists which did't give me any concrete plan. Finally, in december, I started adding mito cocktail. I was giving him brainchild nutritionals already. Then I gradualy added coQ10, flush free niacin, riboflavin-5-phosphate, benfotiamine, and l-carnitine. I simply love flush free niacin as it has taken care of my son's obsession w the angle of his mouth. Adding riboflavin and benfotiamine improved his understanding and eagerness to complete his homework. He is able to write all the letters and numbers now and is beginning to learn maths. I know that the doses that I am using are probably not what other parents and physicians suggest, but I am only using the doses that my son can tolerate. He is takibg 250 mg of flush free niacin(Now) twice a day, 10 mg of riboflavin-5-phosphate (douglas labs), 100 mg of benfotiamine (Complementary prescriptions), coQ10 100 mg twice a day (klaire labs), l-carnitine 500 mg daily (jarrow formula), vitamin C about 600 mg daily (ecological formulas-tapioca based). I definitely see an overall improvement even though I see a lot of yeasty behaviors and he gets brain fog on and off but the positives r more than the yeast symptoms. I still deal w a lot of issues like stimming and episodic anxiety but I focus on the brighter side. My son probably is one of the tougher kids to treat but after going thru hell w him last year, I thank God everyday for any improvement that he has made. My next target is to work on cerebral folate deficiency as my dan suggested that a lot of my son's symptoms which seem to be related to mito dysfunction, could actually be a result of folate antibodies. I will keep u guys posted on any changes, good or bad w the new supps I am adding. I will hopefully be active again on the forum, may disappear for 2-3 days every week but will be available for any questions. I missed being here a lot and finally decided to post tonight even if I don't get much sleep. Blessings to all, is
