Guest guest
HI everyone, Sorry I havent been able to respond much I have been really busy but I have been reading all the messages. Congrats to those who have delivered and to those who are doing soo well. I just thought I would do alittle update on myself and the twins! I am now 13 weeks and NOW m/s decides to hit! So far it has a pattern of every other day I cant eat or drink ANYTHING till about 3pm...Hopefully it will pass soon. I had my 10 month post op appt with my WLS and all was fine. I have lost a total of 145 pounds. I had my 2nd OB appt and they were able to find one heartbeat which they werent concerned about the other because they say this early with twins its hard to find both. My sugar was a little high so i have to do the Gestational Diabetes test early but the dr and myself think its because i cheated and ate sugar smacks for breakfast an hour before my appt...OOPS I also had an appt with my kidney dr...(busy week i told ya..LOL) for those of you who dont remember my original intro the who reason behind my WLS was because of the Kidney disease and we wanted to see if getting the weight off would help. They discovered my disease in 2000 when i was pregnant with my daughter. The protein in my urine stayed at a consistant 4900-5000 through out the pregnancy...After having her it stayed pretty consistant at 3900-4000...In July of 2004 I had it done again (the first since WLS), I was approx 8 months post of...The numbers were down to 817. But my kidneys were still OVER functioning..They had me on blood pressure meds to slow my kidneys down in fear of them " BURNING " out from over working....I did the test again monday and they called me with the results this morning...The numbers are down AGAIN to 302 and my kidney function is now NORMAL!!! WOOOOHOOOO This makes me feel sooooo good because the higher the protein in the higher the risk of me forming pre eclapsia and delivering these babies much earlier than we want to.... Well thanks for listening to my rampling....Good Luck & Congrats To all! Guest guest
That's fantastic that your kidney function is normal after 4 years. On another note, good to know I'm not the only " little kid's " cereal fan----gimme my Cinammon Life or CapnCrunch. Shhhh! Hush!
