Guest guest
I found " regular " jeans at Sears and one pair of slim fit wide leg jeans that were my favorite at Walmart. The jeans I bought from Old Navy were capris and I hated them. Didn't realize they were " low rise " until after I got home with them. What pregnant lady wants low rise that hits half way up their belly and slides down is beyond me. LOL Or maybe it was just me and my easily aggravated state but the Old Navy jeans I had were awful. Good luck! Maternity clothes really have come a long way and some are quite cute. Also, if you have a Motherhood Maternity where you are I've heard they have good stuff........and Fashion Bug here carries maternity clothes, too. I bought several skirts and shirts from them, but not any jeans. Mandi in Concord, NC
Guest guest
http://www.imaternity.com I have never ordered from them.. however I do know some preggers that have... and they do have a nice collection of Maternity pants and jeans... standard type jeans with the " belly panel " or the " low rise " panel. I am set to deliver in 11 days... (wooo hooo!!) and have avoided all maternity clothes. Living in Florida.. I wore my " fat shorts " and " fat shirts " .... I have gone from a 3x at the beginning of my pg down to an XL... which fits around my huge belly.. LOL I can actually still wear my Old Navy Jean skirt ( non maternity) size 20.. it is a bit snug.... but it fits.. I have an aversion to Maternity Clothes... but then I hate most clothes... because I am short.. huge chested... short waisted, and so ill proportionate.. that nothing ever looks right.. Guest guest
Thrifty person that I am I never wanted, nor had the means, to spend a lot of money on clothes that I was only going to be wearing for a few months. I found some great bargains at Ross Dress for Less (I'm in Colorado) and didn't feel bad about the money I spent. Its a good thing I saved so much, 'cause by the time I was 7 months pregnant (with twins) my belly no longer fit into normal maternity clothes and I had to wear my yoga pants and all the time. Guest guest
When I was preggers in 2000, it was depressing, as most maternity clothes only went up to size XL. But at that point, I did fine some maternity jeans and other stuff at JC Penny. This time around (when I get pregnant)I CANNOT wait to buy maternity clothes! Target has some cute ones, and I'll be able to wear real sizes!!! Inga RNY 4/22/02 261/150/145 Lily Grace 5/31/2000
Guest guest
Hi , I have a mix of maternity clothing I got in various places If you don't mind used clothing, I found a lot of mine in Thrift stores and if you end up not liking it you can resell them that is what I did Depending on the style of clothing I found some really modern clothing neat jeans and such at them, the best luck with jeans I have had is motherhood and Pea in the Pod jeans. DON'T BUY WALMART maternity I bought 2 items there and they fell apart in the wash. Poor Quality. ( I was pregnant last July (lost baby at 14 weeks) I kept all my clothes though Thank goodness !! ( 5 weeks along now) I like Old navy tops they seem to be made better. Not to helpful but thought I would stick my 2 cents in Have a Great day ! Guest guest
My Mom and I intend to sew a few tops for me when the time comes. I bought a great pattern at the store. I am sure I will break down and buy a few from the shops, but you are right - they are worn for such a short time.
