Guest guest
Well, that's not entirely true. It depends on what you're treating. Feminine yeast infection is 150 mg. Candida can go as high as 400. Adult thrush is 200. There's no one dose. It really just depends. My son is Rxed 200mg but I only give him 100 as it's been fine. 50 is too low. He's 8 and has been Rxed 200 since he was 5. You'll want to have your doctor look into it and talk to a few DANs if you can have him do that (I'm assuming s/he's not since most already know the dosage.). Discussing it professionally with other doctors tends to make doctors feel more comfortable. Usually when they don't know the answer themselves, they end up dosing too low and it's useless. * * * Cheryl * * * ~ Antiviral Therapy 101~~ Make a biomed book ~~ gryffinstail.wordpress.com ~~ @Gryffins_Tail ~ Fo an adult the dose for diflucan is 100 mgs per day To: mb12valtrex Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2012 6:55 AM Subject: Fluconazole/Diflucan Dosage Hello. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. Our doc has my son on 100mg 1xday and me on 150mg 1xday. I don't know if that's enough...but I'm also scared to take more for fear of liver issues. > > > > > Fo an adult the dose for diflucan is 100 mgs per day > > > > > > > > To: mb12valtrex > > Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2012 6:55 AM > > Subject: Fluconazole/Diflucan Dosage > > > > > > Hello. > > > > What is the correct dose of diflucan for an 80 pound child and an adult? > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
My son is 170 pounds and has been on diflucan for several years and is also on high dose antibiotics. His dose of diflucan is 100 mgs daily and he does fine at this dose. His doc is strict about not going higher due to liver issues which we do check every other month.
