Hello ladies! I am a lurker who finally has a question. I have

learned so so much from you all and I am thankful that we are all

here together to help one another.

I had my Lap RNY Nov 7,2003. I have lost about 110lbs before

getting pregnant in June 2004. My pregnancy so far has been normal.

I had lost some weight and now I am starting to gain some of it

back. It has be scared. I know I am pregnant and i should gain..but

the whole mind thing that i need to lose is still there...but have

to remind myself gaining is good due to baby. In the last month I

have gained about 5lbs....and I am eating like crazy.(BAD FOOD) I am

hungry all of the time and was wondering if this is normal? I was so

used to not being hungry before my Pregnancy. Now it seems like I

can eat all the time. My OB's here are not familiar with WLS and

pregnancy so I have relied on this board alot. Do any of you find

yourself hungry all the time? Once the baby comes...will I stop

being so hungry? I have noticed I can eat alot more now too...maybe

8oz of food at a time. I do not know if it is due to me getting

further out from surgery or the pregnancy. I am so afraid of

stretching my stomach out and ruining my surgery and my weightloss.

Anyone else in the same situtaion..or have been? For those who had

babies post wls....how much weight is a normal range for us to gain?

Is it safe to say that a normal pregnancy is 20-25lbs for us..or

since we have a smaller stomach that that would be too high? Any

feedback would be apprieciaed.

Pamela,

I'd lost 140 pounds, but have since gained 9.6 back!

My EDD is April 17th. I, too have been STARVING All

of the time!!! It's not in my head either, I get

actual hunger pains AND if I don't eat every few hours

I get dizzy and light headed.

Pamela - I feel the same way. I'm hungry all the time too and often times feel

like I'm over eating. I've gained about the same. 5lbs. I lost 7 in the

beginning though. I have to admit I was more worried about losing the 7lbs than

gaining this 5. I have a dr's appt on Thursday and I will talk about it then.

Not sure what we are suppose to gain. I have made not such great eating choices

either. A quick Mcs, a donut in the morning, hot chocolate, and too much

diet pop. If I feel it's getting out of control for the day, I make sure to get

in water at night or a protein shake at least. Makes me feel better anyway!

I'll let you know what my dr says. But I'm sure there will be good advice for

us here.

Hi Pamela -

I am pregnant with my first baby and am 16 weeks along and am in the same

situation. I can eat so much and am hungry all of the time. I have gained a

total of 4 lbs so far. I have RNY 11-5-02 and have reached my goal weight of

150 before becoming pregnant. It is a very weird thing to see the scale move up

after almost 2 years of losing. I know that it is normal to feel this way, I

have read so many posting on people who have posted very similar feelings. I

would probably expect to gain about 20lbs, but I do not know, like I said this

is my first baby. But I know that I feel the same way you do. Good Luck and

keep us posted.
