I watched it and thought he did a very good job of staying in the middle. I

can not belive that the one girl is able to eat 4000 cals aday. I am lucky to

get in 1000 cals. I have been able to eat more because of the pregnancy but

hopefully my apitite will leave again after the baby is born.

I watched the beginning.. but I had to go to the store to get stuff for

dinner....

4000 calories a day?

I get in a lot if I eat PB & J sandwiches.... or eat alot of PB.

PB has been my protien/iron mainstay.

I got tired of cheese... and meat just doesn't do it for me... I hate the

smell of chicken cooking... but will eat it " out " .

He did stay pretty balanced and I liked his comment to the post-op

girl. She magically expected the emotional issues to just go away. I

wish she would have had better support afterward. you hear about so

many 3-5 yr post-ops in the same boat. I hope that teenage girl gets

the help she needs too. I'd have liked more range of people wanting

it on there but he gave each person a good focussed segment of time

too. He's right, this surgery ISN'T for everyone. Even in my own

family of 5 obese kids, only 1 other sibling besides myself should in

my opinion have it. the others could never be compliant enough about

the routine and vitamins and exercise and the process would fail for

them. anyway I don't often like Dr. Phil but he was fair today.

I think it helped that Carnie has no problem standing up to him so if

he'd something out of line I think she'd have walloped him :)

This girl was 3 years post op I think and she had a problem with emotional

eating. They showed her at a hamberger stand eating a cheese burger fries and a

large pop. I would be praying to the porcline god if I ate that much. I was

surprised the other day when I cept a chicken sandwich from Red Robin down.

But I was FULL. and that is all i ate no fries or drink.

Funny.. I can eat a Mickey D's double cheeseburger... but it is really just 2

thin patties.. 2 pieces of cheese and a bun.. not very " bready " .

I always steal a few of hubby's fries...

's Jr Cheeseburger is too much for me... it is way too much " bread " .

But.. if something is cheesy enough... it slides thru nicely.

I have really developed some bad eating habits this pregnancy...and I am

really going to have to work HARD at being a good Gastric Bypass Patient.

I really need to get back to the basics....and really hoping my " appetite "

returns to what it should be... post surgery.

My huge Open RNY Scar is a constant reminder of what I did to myself to lose

weight... but food still gets a hold of me...

It really IS my addiction.

I can eat a cheeseburger, fries and drink a pop. I am six years out. What you

have to understand is it depends on a lot of different factors. Normally I can

eat most of a happy meal. With diet pop not regular.

Are you talking about the girl who was the second guest - after

Carnie? I watched for a bit and then got busy with the baby. Yeah

I can eat a sandwich but that's it...I'm FULL then too.

Amazing....it's like she's undoing her surgery....
