He has zero attention span and really has a hard time socially. We follow the specific carbohydrate diet but are off most supplements right now.I am going to start him back on fish oil (speak brand), probiotics, 5HTP, and we are doing a round of tinidazole and diflucan. He has been on B12 shots, valtrex, every supplement under the sun but chelation. He tests neg for yeast but positive for camplobacter and hpylori, I am guessing this is where the burbs come in.I am so tired of this, tired of him not feeling well (also gets lots of headaches), tired of the constant anger and contant worry about his future. We just got back from a trip from hell with him, he was so hard to handle. He is 7 years old and I thought he would be recovered by now.If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Also, he did really well of Valtrex when we did it at the age of 4. We did it for 4 months, would anyone think we should try it again? What about LDN, we were going to start but I didn't, not sure why? Any negs with that one? Thanks for your help.AnnAlso, tests neg for lymes. Guest guest
Hi Ann, I can completely relate to your situation. My son is almost 9 and we are still struggling. Although he has improved in the last 1 year, we are dealing with similar symptoms on and off. We have some viral titers positive and I am debating between starting valtrex and LDN so I would love to hear from other parents too about their experience with LDN. But I wanted to suggest something that has helped my son recently. I started custom probiotics which has helped a lot with his gut and overall behavior. It hasn't fixed anything completely but he is a bit better. If you are about to restart probiotics, then start with the d-lactate free custom probiotics. We also had a crazy trip with my son two months ago and I was beginning to lose hope. But I have done a few things which have helped a bit so I wanted to share with you. Has your son been tested for Cerebral folate deficiency? Even if he hasn't been tested, start him on 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate. Get the thorne brand as I have tried the prothera one and it didn't give me any results. 5-MTHF is a neopterin scavenger and reduces inflammation. I have a feeling that SCD diet may not be working for your kid but since I don't know the details, you can decide better. I haven't tested my son for H pylori yet but I am pretty sure that he has it. Probiotics will help with that especially the custom probiotics. May be it is a good idea to get a Urine OAT as you might be dealing with clostridia. My son has been on diflucan rounds for the last six months and he was also on azithromycin and his aggression was just getting worse. Our oat came back negative for clostridia but we have him on diflucan + oral vancomycin and that has helped a bit. He is in a bad mood this weekend and I believe that his phenol sensitivity is at its peak these days. If you suspect phenol sensitivity, try the epsom salt baths/kirkman magnesium sulfate cream. SCD diet allows foods that are high in salicylates and that can give phenol sensitivity symptoms. I had my son on almond milk and removing it has helped as well. If you want, you can provide me some more details on your son's current situation like what treatments he received recently and when did you stop the supps etc and I and other parents might be able to suggest something useful. Good luck is > > Hi, > > does anyone have any sort of advice they could give me regarding: > > My son has been on biomed for 5 years. Guest guest
Yes, parasites is definitely a possibility for my son. But since I don't know all the details on Ann's son like when his symptoms got worse, I cannot comment. I tried Alinia for my kid which was a horrible experience while he was still taking it. Then once I stopped it along with other meds like diflucan, he did great but that was off everything. My son cannot handle die off I believe as he does poorly whenever he is on some form of treatment and once the treatment finishes, we can see the gains if any. That is the reason I am so scared to start any antivirals. I am trying to learn more about how I can help his metabolism so he can detox better. Would love to learn some ideas from parents. Ruth, if we are going to have full moon, when and how I should give my son any anti-parasite treatment? I have never tried anything other than alinia for that purpose. I can give vermox a try but what are the good days for that and if anyone has already used vermox or any other prescription treatments for parasites around full moon, please advise. I cannot use naturals as my son is sensitive to phenols. Thanks is > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > does anyone have any sort of advice they could give me regarding: > > > > > > My son has been on biomed for 5 years.
