Hello everyone:

Just to let you know what happened at the doctor's tonight. The baby grew

exatly 1 week from last week - the baby measures 6 weeks 4 days. The doctor

said everything looks good - my blood levels are going up - the problem is that

there is no heartbeat yet. I have to go back on the 20th to see what happens.

I'm back on a waiting game again.

I'll let everyone know what happens on the 20th. Keep praying for me.

I have a real question I need to ask. I've been crying all day since

returning from the hospital from my pre-testing for tomorrows " Suction D & C " .

The

nurse practioner at the hospital told me that I lost my two precious angels for

no reason. She said because you had gastric bypass, your doctor should have

checked different blood levels then those from a normal pregnant women and

also the normal ones as well. She told me I probably was not getting enough

IRON

and Fultrate to the baby, and in return that could have caused my two

miscarriages. Is that possible? My doctor did now that I had bypass surgery.

Why

didn't the doctor know what types of tests to run. What should I do! Please

help me understand.

Love, Dawn

Dear Dawn,

I am so sorry that this is happening to you. I would ask your ob/gyn to

confer with your surgeon or if he/she feels that they were not educated

enough about pregnancy after gastric bypass surgery, then they needed to try

to refer you to a doctor that is. A normal pregnancy is hard enough on a

woman's body - physically and emotionally, not to mention us that have been

through surgery and had fertility issues! Take care, you are in my thoughts.

Hi there sweetie...like someone else said...get your OB to talk to your surgeon.

After the second msicarriage, you should be able to be tested to find the

reason. There can be several, and maybe it is not related to GP at all. My

heart is with you Mama.
