Guest guest
Crystal: You are in my prayers. I hope everything turns out alright. Let me know what happens when you see your OB. Make sure your OB gives you extra B12, iron and folic acid. We as GBP we loose alot of essential vitamins. I should know. I just experienced my second miscarriage in 4 months. the nurse practioner told me that is what caused my miscarriages. I already have two children from before my surgery. I'm scheduled for my D & C tomorrow morning. I just want to kill my OB for killing my precious angels. Hope all is alright with you. Please let me know. My prayers are with you and your family. Love, Dawn
Guest guest
Hi girls.. Last night I started bleeding bright red blood.. and My husband took me to the hospital immediately. I had an ultrasound, and the woman kept saying that she couldnt tell me anything.. that the doctor would have to tell me. I did finally manage to get her to tell me that the baby was still inside, and moving! Well then she wanted me to go potty and get ready for an ultrasound where they go in vaginally. Well I wentt o the bathroom, and started bleeding heavily and passed a bunch of grayish clumps. When I went back to the ultrasound, the woman wouldnt answer me, and would no longer even speak to me, so I laid there sobbing. (they wouldnt let my husband come back with me.. I think they were afraid of what we would see?) Anyways, eventually they wheeled me back to the E.R. and the doctor came in to give me a pelvic exam. She cleaned me up (the blood inside was pooled from my laying down) she said that this way, we could tell what was new bleeding. She said that my cervix was dialated to one cm.. which is quite common for the 5th pregnancy, and that there was no fetal matter hanging around, so it was a good sign. After my bloodwork came back they determined that I am about 11 weeks along. ( thought I was a little further, but I am used to them changing the dates about LoL) Well they discharged me and said to come back if the bleeding gets a lot worse.. with cramps etc. She said that there really isnt anything they, nor I, could do if its meant to be.. They said to see my doctor and they can test my hormone level to see if the baby is growing, or if it's aborting. I haven't bled anymore since she " cleaned me out " .. but Ive been laying down constantly.. and always scared when I use the bathroom. I was wondering if anybody has experienced anything like this and carried to term? Is it probable? I realize that there is nothing that I can do.. but I still am so scared. I especially couldnt stand to see a miscarriage. (my goldfish died 2 years ago and I still get teary eyed when I think of it) I cant imagine how anybody gets through this! I have been lucky this far with 4 healthy children.. and I cant help but feel greedy when I pray that everything will be ok. I just hope that there is somebody out there that can tell me a success story.. or even.. somebody that can tell me how they coped after a loss? Sorry this is so long... thanks to all! Guest guest
I was 6 weeks pg with my 2nd daughter and while climbing out of my car experienced a HUGE gush (soaking) of bright red blood. I went to the ER and they told me I had amniotic fluid in the discharge and that 99% chance that I miscarried. They took hormone levels on Friday and left me all weekend to believe I had miscarried. Monday came and took another hormone level and it was rising! 4 months along in the same pregnancy the HUGE gush of blood happened again (soaking everything!). This time they took me by ambulance to the nearest big city and I was put on bedrest after a level 3 ultrasound. I was on bedrest for 2 weeks and then told to take it extremely easy. My daughter was born 2 weeks early, 8 1/2 lbs 21 inches long! My OB summized that I had miscarried a twin with the first bleeding and the second was that I was bleeding from the implantation site for that same twin. Good luck!!! Guest guest
> > > Hi girls.. > Last night I started bleeding bright red blood.. and My husband took > me to the hospital immediately. I had an ultrasound, and the woman > kept saying t Oh Crystal, I hope by now you at least have more information as I'm sure the waiting is awful. I want to say it IS possible to have significant bleeding and NOT lose the pregnancy! I am now 26 1/2 weeks along and went thru this. At 12 weeks or so I had awful cramps and went to the bathroom and had several gushes of bright red. OB told me to come tight in and it took about an hour to get there and I soaked about 3 pads full. I will say that they hooked me up to the ultrasound and I saw baby moving around so that reassured me some but the doc said I might still be losing the baby and I was put on bedrest. I passed several clots that next 2-3 days but they were dark red and thick like liver, not grey. I tore my placenta from the wall in one spot (but the placenta itself stayed intact) and like in your case, the doctor had scooped out as much of the blood as she could so we could tell the new blood. I prayed and prayed and even begged one of the nurses to just tell me of even one case she knew of where the person bled a lot had clots and still didn't lose the baby and the nurse told me yes, she had seen it happen but she didn't want me to get my hopes up she said. The bleeding turned to old blood spotting (no new bright red blood for a week) and I came in a week from that scariest appt and the baby's heartbeat was still strong and there was a blood clot between the placenta and the wall that needed to be reabsorbed. I was kept on bedrest from then until 2 weeks ago and had 2 other bleeding incidents (nothign as bad as that first time but just as scary to me) and they think it was due to placenta previa perhaps but it seems to be moving away from the cervix enough it is only 10% likely to still be a problem in january when I am due. At this point my baby is developing fine and I just had my big ultrasound where they check for all the heart chambers and brain etcetera and everything looks fine. I have to take it very easy even off of bedrest because I do not want to risk any more incidents so you take it very easy too! If you had your placenta pull away then maybe only time will tell if it is bad enough to lose the baby or lessened enough to keep the pregnancy. I wish there were more I could say to you as I KNOW in my heart what you are feeling right now. They can call it fetus or ovum or whatever they want at different stages but to us mommies we KNOW that is our child in there no matter how many weeks along we are. If you've already received bad news about the pregnancy then please take heart. I truly believe things happen as they are meant to be no matter how painful thy are to endure, and perhaps you can try again. all my prayers are with you, Colleen
