Guest guest
Hang in there, . Bedrest is hard. Having a wireless connection and my laptop helped me. I hope things go better for you. I've been having contractions all day so I hope they are doing enough help out with the induction tommorow. Keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway... if I dont get a chance to talk to you again, I hope you have a safe and speedy L & D. Sharyn snook_z wrote: Hi Sharyn, Wishing you and Adam all the best on Friday! Sounds like you have gotten excellent care through your pregnancy and despite the complications, you remain positive and upbeat...Thats awesome. One of my fellow nurses at work had problems with DVTs with her pregnancy too...She was hospitalized initially on IV Heparin and then of course went home on the shots. She and her baby did very well, just like you. Its awesome that you have been able to go 39 weeks! I am just over 34 weeks right now and two weeks ago, was put on bedrest due to pre ecclampsia issues. Thankfully, baby girl is still okay, though I have come one step closer to being admitted as I now have protein in my urine in addtition to the bp/headaches, etc...Hopefully the increase in bp medication will help and I can avoid being put into more of a jail than I am already in (lol) but you know, whatever it takes is what I will do...They are hoping to let me go another couple of weeks so baby can continue to grow, but we will see what they say on Monday. I am nervous about induction too and of course, the possibility of a c section is there too...Actually, I am nervous about the whole labor experience, being my first. I had to cancel our prenatal classes due to the bedrest...but, being a nurse and having all the reading material, I am hoping to be as well informed as I can and pass that info on to hubby. Anyway, I have blabbed long enough...Best wishes to you, Sharyn...and can't wait to hear about it soon! Hugs, EDC Nov 10th....but not thinking its going to go much past mid Oct > > I havent checked in for a while this baby has me very busy. I have to go downtown Phoenix twice a week for my peri appts and once a week for the iron infusions. I'm almost 39 weeks and I'm being induced on Friday. > > With my son over 9 years ago everything happened on it's own and I didnt have a single complication. this pregnancy has been the complete opposite, so I'm a little nervous. (my complications having nothing to do with wls) > > For those of you who dont know I was diagnosed with a DVT at 16 weeks and have had to deal with that the entire pregnancy. I have only 1 more heprin shot. I did find out that they are going to keep me on a low level of heprin throughout my labor and delivery. > > I've had 3 iron infusions in the last couple of weeks. Wow! what a difference I feel already. If your dr. ever suggests having it done dont be afraid like I was. It is so worth it. I feel so much better. I'm now a house cleaning fool that doesnt need a nap everyday. > > I've gained about 15lbs this pregnancy. I'll be 2years out from surgery November 26. I was about 10lbs from goal when I got pregnant. It's been fun being able to see my a round basketball belly this time and wear maternity clothes. The strangest thing though is when I go into the peri office and they make a comment about needing the smaller blood pressure cup for me. Or hand me a gown and it fits with plenty of room spare. I'm sure so many of you understand how I appreciate these things that most people take for granted. Oh and yesterday I got a size medium nightgown for the hospital. I was very pleased I'm 9 months pregnant and I've never worn a medium in my life. > I'll check in when we get home. Good Luck to everyone that is going to be delivering soon. > Sharyn and baby Adam > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Take Yahoo! Mail with you!
