Guest guest
Hi AllIs there any specific test that we can do for yeast over growth? I am certain that he has some problem with his GI but not sure what it is?We did a couple of blood tests but nothing significant came outWe did theAmino AcidsFatty AcidsT3, Reverse T3, Reverse T4Comprehensive Metabolic PanelOxidative StressVitamin D, 25OHHeavy Metal testing,Some stool test for his digestion, but not sure of the test name. Now i have seen that whenever he has something like yogury, phenols, sallicylates, it does crazy. Also its been 3 years and within 10 mins of his meal he will poop. Mostly the food is undigested. So therefore i am looking for tests that can reveal anything wrong with his digestive system.RegardsAalok To: "Feingold-Program4us " <Feingold-Program4us > Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2012 1:33 PM Subject: Re: [Feingold-Program4us] Update on Tests and Supplements Thanks for the update! It is amazing what some of these tests can tell us. We are scheduled to have the MTHFR done next week. We are on vacation right now....it's hard because we are doing Feingold as well as gluten free and yeast free. We obviously have eaten some offending foods, per his behavior and attitude, but I couldn't tell you what. It's just so hard to relax while working like mad to stay on the diet and still dealing with very oppositional behavior. Sorry to whine ( I know, I am on vacation) but all that to say, I am hopeful in reading your update that when we get this next test done, it may give us more to work with. Thanks so much. Anyone else had this test done? My insurance told me it was covered 100%. We will see if that is really true, they never want to pay for anything anymore, but if it is, that is telling as to how it might effect his health. Wish us luck, > Hi Everyone, > > I updated the group some time back regarding our daughter (10 dx ADD in Oct 2011) and some tests that revealed a genetic mutation. Guest guest
hi - for undigested food, we tested stool for chymotrypsin at Diagnos-Techs lab. it was low. he takes 3 enzymes (tri-enza) with each meal now and does much better...no recognizable foods in his stools which we look at each day. yeast was tougher to diagnose. we saw excessive silliness following sugary foods. " fluffy poops " , sometimes with mucous. Treated with goldenseal, berberine, garlic and it got much better. During the 1-2 day die-off period we saw black flecks in his poop which resolved quickly and his behaviors improved dramatically. testing blood for heavy metals is a waste of time in my opinion. they get sequestered away deep in tissues and bone. we used urine and hair samples instead, treated with dmsa and ala.....and watched him progress from severe autism to ADD. we go with a low phenol diet as well, no apples, banana's... we also use low oxalate, no spinach, leeks, blueberries... gfcf, organic, low sugar, low carb as these feed yeast. hope this helps, I think you're on the right track > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > I updated the group some time back regarding our daughter (10 dx ADD in Oct 2011) and some tests that revealed a genetic mutation. Guest guest
Feingold is limited to fruits only, FAILSAFE started in Australia and it is more encompassing. http://failsafediet.wordpress.com/ HTH Dorote > > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > > > I updated the group some time back regarding our daughter (10 dx ADD in Oct 2011) and some tests that revealed a genetic mutation. Guest guest
i saw it several times with my son during recovery. for us, it was related to killing off large amounts of yeast. usually the day after getting goldenseal or p73 oil of oregano. > > > > > > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > > > > > > > I updated the group some time back regarding our daughter (10 dx ADD in Oct 2011) and some tests that revealed a genetic mutation.
