Guest guest
HI, I am pre-op and halfway through the process of getting this surgery (rouen Y) and I was switched to a different birthcontrol at the start of last cycle. I am on them to regulate my periods. Well what a good job thats doing....I am on the Nuva ring, i dont know if anyone is familiar with this, but its inserted in you for 3 weeks then taken out for one week to allow withdrawl bleeding. Well well well....I took it out on Sunday morning, and its now Thursday 12am. No period, not even a spot. Im freaking, but im absolutley not spending no more money on PG tests, Im tired of always getting my hopes up!! lol. I guess i will find out sooner or later huh. I just am not sure if it cause i switched from the pill to the ring, or if its cause i might be PG. Clueless!! Guest guest
as of right now I would wait it out most likly it is because of canging from the pill to the ring. But if you are pregnant and you already have your approval for the surgery at least the approval should be good for up to a year so it could be good either way. good luck Meridth Wife to Larry (02/22/02) Mother to Forrest (01/21/01) Expecting #2 02/14/05 Gastric ByPass 02/23/04 370/268pg/175 goalweight
Guest guest
I used the pill and the patch (right before WLS and for a few months after), then the ring - which I must say is great (for me). Now, we use nothing, with TTC and all. My cycles have not been a problem, before WLS or after. If you are late, and about to have surgery, it would make sense to know if you are pregnant, one way or the other (to me). On the other hand, you can wait and see. Stress can throw off your cycles.
