I SO agree with , Razan...Not only is that Dr " misinformed "

she is passing on this false information to vulnerable patients who

may not know any better.

I was 9 mos post op and 10-15 lb from goal when my WLS surgeon gave

me the go ahead to start trying. We blessedly got pregnant the first

try and here we are, 35 weeks pregnant with a baby girl who is

almost 5 lbs inside me!

WLS is the only reason I DID get pregnant, Razan....we did many many

fertility treatments when I was obese and I couldn't even ovulate.

This is my miracle and the miracle that has happened to many as a

result of losing weight from surgery...

Perhaps you might think of printing off some of the great articles

on this website re: pregnancy after WLS to give to this Dr?

Playing with fire? Umm no. No more so than any other woman

especially if you are over a year or two out from surgery. You

shouldn't get pregnant while you are losing weight quickly but WLS

alone will not impede you from having a healthy pregnancy.
