Guest guest
welcome lyn, i'm jennifer. had RNY March 04 and 2 months later got pregnant. currently 24 weeks along. it is totally normal in teh first trimester to not be hungry or to have morning sickness. your baby will get and take what it needs. take your vitamins and drink as much water as you can and try to eat waht you can, but don't feel guilty if you can't. i lost 60 lbs my first trimester and now have been the same weight for over a month. eat small things, high protein, often if you can. Good luck, post anytime. aka mom2ben99 (jennilee75@...) Kay Independent Beauty Consultant http://www.marykay.com/koopmans Gastric Bypass-Lap RNY 3/12/04-Dr Dunshee in Topeka Ks. Guest guest
Hi Lyn, I had my surgery in Sept of 03 this is my second pregnancy since wls I lost one in July. with that one I was just like you no appetite after a certian point I could almost go with out eating for a whole day. in fact I lost 7 lbs just over a weekend because of lack of appetite then I MADE my self eat even when I was not hungry made sure I ate and drank kept reminding my self it was for the baby and my self as well. Have you seen an OB yet or your surgeon about this? MIne put me on 2 prenatals 2 iron tablets, 2 folic acid and the 1500 mgs of calcium. I also get 15000 mcg's b-12 shots monthly So important ou take the supliments on top of the diet because the baby will get the nutrients but you and your body will suffer . Welcome to the group!!
