Guest guest
Hi all. My husband and I took a cruise to Mexico last week for our anniversary, and my feet and ankles swelled up something awful. I figured it was due to the high heat and humidity and thought it would go down when I got home. Well, it didn't and in fact got worse. I couldn't put on my shoes yesterday and my doctor's office told me to come in for a blood pressure and urine check. Both were fine (BP 109/78), so I asked the doctor if I should increase my fluid intake from 2 1/2 liters to 3 or more. He was shocked I was drinking so much and said that there's a chance I'm washing the electrolytes out of my system causing me to swell more. He also said there might be something with the GBS that would lend itself to swelling earlier than normal. Do any of you have any info on this? Can I take Pedialyte or something to increase my electrolytes? Do you all swell in the heat? Thanks! RNY 4/01 edd 2/4/
