Methotrexate is a cancer drug that my Mother takes for her

Rheumatoid arthritis. I also know that Tamoxifen is a cancer drug that

they have used for ectopic pg's so perhaps there is a correlation

there. I would ask your OB, his nurse and search the net to see what

you can find. I was *supposed* to have an ectopic and they mentioned

tamoxifen to shrink the ectopic rather than having to remove my tube

and decrease my fertility further, but I delivered my ectopic on Oct

24, 2004 @ 8:25am!!

It weighed 6# 9oz!! I have a picture of my ectopic on my profile!

lol

:) <-- who can laugh about it now.... almost

I took Methotrexate after my WLS, but not for eptopic pregnancy but for

arthritis, I took 18mg per week via pills orally. I ended up having to stop

them not only because I wanted to get pregnant but because they elevated my

liver enzymes. I never had problems with them prior to my WLS. I believe that

I absorbed them differently after the WLS and thats why my liver enzymes went

up. Once I stopped taking them my liver enzymes returned to normal within a

week. I hope this helps you some.
