Guest guest
Hi there, I am not a pediatrician or orthopedic, but from what I know about perthes disease, its symptoms should be more permanent and your daughter's symptoms don't fit the picture completely. You mentioned that your daughter had it in one leg then it went away, this sounds more like nerve inflammation to me. I don't know much about Dr K's protocols and I do understand that biomedical treatments can wake up old infections and this could be temporary, I strongly recommend that you get her evaluated by an orthopedic, just to be on the safe side. If it is an early stage, it may not show up on x-ray. How old is your daughter? How is the first leg now? Is she verbal and is she good at describing pain? I don't mean to make you nervous and I know that these symptoms could be related to biomedical treatments, I still believe that with kids, we should always try to rule out the worst possibilities and the sooner we get the right diagnosis, the better it is for the child as a lot can be done to prevent complications. Good luck. is > > My daughter is on Dr K's protocol. She has had pain in her one leg, stood up and then collapsed, this lasted for 2 days then it went, now its moved to the other leg, not as severe but it hurts, says its better when she sits down. When we had the first pain we took her to the pediatrician, they did bloodwork for inflammation, and x-rays nothing showed up. They told us young kids get a viral infection in their hip and transfers to the lower part of leg, this is indeed the symptoms when she checked. She said it could be perthes(spelling) a more serious diagnosis. > > We also had chelated DR k's way with DMPS a first for us, nobody thinks this is related. No other symptoms. She is going through a very hungry phase and eating a lot and growing, is there such a thing as growing pains. Has anyone any ideas as to what it could be. Our Dan is throwing out Lymes, she has tested positive for 2 bands before...no marks on legs. > > Thanks >

Guest guest
Look into her Magnesuim levels...cheapest & best thing you can do is an epsom salt bath....more info here: http://www.enzymestuff.com/epsomsalts.htm Both my son & daugher grew 4 " last year...With my sons mineral derrangement patterns we have supplemented his magnesuim & he still has magnesuim deficiency which has finally turned around...same w/his zinc deficiencies....magnesuim, zinc, vit A & D all go hand in hand!!! Here's some basic links to get you started in looking into this: Magnesium Deficiency: Muscle/Leg Cramps are one of the symptoms.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnesium_deficiency_(medicine) http://bodyecology.com/articles/magnesium_deficiency.php http://www.calmnatural.co.uk/magnesium-deficiency " Irritating little twitches in the eyelid or painful muscle cramping that wakes you up in the night are usually the first sign of magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is needed for proper muscle relaxation and contraction, and excessive muscle tension (resulting in spasms, tics and restlessness) " Zinc Deficiency (I regularly monitor the white spots on his nails that he'll get...one of the symptoms): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinc_deficiency Important notes: * " Diseases or conditions that involve intestinal malabsorption promote zinc losses. Fecal losses of zinc caused by diarrhea are one contributing factor " . " Changes in intestinal tract absorbability and permeability due, in part, to viral, protozoal, and bacteria pathogens may also encourage fecal losses of zinc.[7] Physiological states that require increased zinc include periods of growth in infants and children as well as in mothers during pregnancy. " " Signs of zinc deficiency include white spots on the nails, skin lesions, diarrhea, and wasting of body tissues. A lack of zinc can contribute to acne. Eyesight, taste, smell and memory are also connected with zinc. " Also, pay attention to the " Cognitive and motor function impairment " & memory issues. Most Important! " Vitamins A and D " " Plasma zinc levels have been found to be dependent upon vitamins A and D. This suggests that a Vitamin A or D deficiency could cause a secondary zinc deficiency and that for treatment of zinc deficiency one should ensure adequate vitamin A and D intake. " Lots more info on both Magnesium & Zinc deficiency...this is just a basic start. One of the 1st places I look when my children complain of sore or ache legs is at their magnesium levels...then up it appropriately. Blessings, Rita > > My daughter is on Dr K's protocol. Guest guest
Thanks to those who replied to my post, I have a feeling it could be a deficiency indeed. Gonna check out with orthopedic just to be sure. I have the viral option as a 2nd idea so hopefully can get to the bottom of it. > > > > My daughter is on Dr K's protocol.
