Guest guest
I am sorry you are in so much pain from the scar stretching. As far as being induced though that can be very miserable too. With my first I was due on July 12, I went until July 17th and at my appointment that day I was getting preg. induced hypertension. Even though my cervix was not ready to be induced they decided to try and " ripen " my cervix with cervadil. I was in the hospital from the 17-19th. They told me that it just wasn't working. I begged them to do a c-section but the Dr. told me he wouldn't let his wife get one in my shoes, so no I was not in need of one yet. They did an ultrasound and noted decreased amnioticfluid and told me that I most likely would go into labor over the weeekend (this was on Frday.) If not I was told to go in early Monday for a stresstest. We went in on Monday and the baby failed the stress test, so they sent me to ultrasound and the fluid was just about all gone! They sent me over to labor and delivery and they broke my bag (my fluid was just reabsorbing) and after breaking it they put in a sterile solution to cushion her for labor, and started pitocin... OMG, that stuff is kille. The pains were horrible, and after 13 hours on it my baby went into distress and they ended up doing a c-section. So I would wait if you could, or go ahead with the c-section. My second child I tried to do a V-bac and I spent a night in complete agony with these horrible pains, then they had to do an emergency with that one because the amniotic sac was tearing away from the uterine wall. On my 3rd child, I said forget the labor, just lets schedule my c-section. I got to have him 2 weeks early, and it was so much better then the previous 2 births!! I am pg again (just found out 2 weeks ago... I am so excited. Well, I hope you are able to do something about the pain soon. Good luck in whatever you decide. Guest guest
Chandra I was wondering about that cervadel stuff. Today is my doc appt and I'm going to ask about it. She's going to check my cervix and if there is no progress then I'm opting for the C-section (as much as I don't want it). This baby would be better off outside in the world than inside me where it's getting vicodan! The doc had given me 15 pills last week and said to use them carefully. I have used them when the pain is at it's worst and I only have like 5 left! Thank you for sharing your experience with me. It gave me some insight into what might happen to me since my first birth was a miserable one also. Aali > I am sorry you are in so much pain from the scar stretching.
