Guest guest
Thank you so much for being available! I really appreciate this group! Beware of TMI: Well I am 13 months post-op bypass, down 95 lbs and am 11 weeks pregnant w/ my first child. Things have been going well & I am pst most of the am sickness but I have a new and surprising problem. I have had terrible diarrhea that will not go away. My docs have done tests and I am not too bad to have dehydration problems & I do not have any other issues. I can eat ok but only want carbs since the thought of meat makes me sick and veggies are not very helpful w/ my issue. I have been adding protein bars and may need to go back to shakes. My pcp thinks I am dumping and that my hormones are the cause of the problem. Has anyone had this and do you recommend anything to help lessen the symptoms? Thanks
Guest guest
When I was pregnant in 1999 post WLS all I could stomach was sugar. And before I got pregnant I had not had sugar for a year except once or twice accidentally -- and it made me dump horribly. I called the nutritionist and was told that it was probably my hormones and the important thing was to eat whatever would stay down so I would get some sustenance. Oh yeah and I had horrible morning sickness and nothing would stay down but carbs for a while. I survived and more importantly my daughter was born healthy. Take your vitamins, eat what you can and listen to your body. It will tell you what it needs. Ferguson Rasley mailto:dferguson@... 11 weeks and parnoid! Thank you so much for being available!
