Guest guest
Oh my my! $6,000 is an aweful lot of money. I could buy a truck load of therapies for that cost. Is that how much AIT costs these days? Price check every one! Antonitsa, I don't want to disuade you as your boy is still non-verbal and he may need the power of a centre and the bone conduction equipment that is available at the centres..... but have you looked into the home versions of AIT yet? Many of us use The Listening Program by Advanced Brain Technologies. They have a new program out these days that has home conduction earphones for about $1,500. You own all of the equipment so you can use it forever. Another program they have without bone conduction costs about $550. NOW.... these would not be as powerful as the centres such as Berrard or Tomatis. I hear some moms just swear by Berrard. I used the 'old' version of The Listening Program for my son but he was verbal. We used it for well over a year to bring his ears up to normal. Which centre are you thinking of heading to? Shop around a little since even for AIT, that number seems pretty high to me. I was under the impression that clinical AIT could be obtained for just under $2,000. I would hate to see you pay too much. Janice Mother of Mark, 13 [ ] LISTENING THERAPY OR AUDITORY INTERGRATION TRAINING Hi to all, Anyone tried these therapies and had good results? Some friends I have in Sweden are going to try AIT and I was wondering if any of you had experiences with any. Thank you Antonitsa Hi! I have been wondering about the same thing. I went to Dynamic Listening website and that led me to Integrated Listening Systems which talks in depth about this approach. I don't know whether to try this either: It will cost me $6,000 & seems like it may or may not work ( Tomatis: a little iffy?) Let me know what you hear! Thanks, Tara
