?? What are u doing wth him constipation?? Have u tried doing enemas?? Have u done any parasite cleansing to help rid some of the pathogens ??Sent from my iPhone

My 10 year old son has a history of gut issues (chronic constipation, withholding, yeast, bacteria, including strep) and possible co-infections such as Lyme.

We have been to many doctors over the years -- mainstream and DAN -- as well as several GIs (including Dr. Krigsman). My son has been on a variety of supplements, antifungals, antibiotics, even steroids. He has been GFCF for years. We have not seen much positive progress.

My son is a good student but what keeps him in a self-contained class at school (in my opinion) is that he is stimmy and is echolalia (repeating dialogue from DVDs). I think the inability to eradicate the pathogens in his gut causes the stimming, etc.

In the past week, my son has had daily bouts of inconsolable crying -- complete meltdowns -- that include crying, yelling, jumping, throwing himself down, and hitting himself. He cries as though he is in the most severe agony and it lasts for hours. He also has become extremely OCD. Someone told me it sounded like parasites and the fact that there was a full moon. someone else said PANDAS.

I am looking for advice on what to do. We have never tried homeopathy or anything too alternative but I feel like all the DAN protocols are not working. My son needs help and I feel like I am failing him.

Yes this sounds like PANDAS. Here is a link to some basic info. Also check out pandasnetwork.org. Which infections do you already know he has? How has his doc been treating them?Ruth Sent from my iPhone

Hi , We are transition to SCD from GFCF over the last 2 months. We are also wanting to eradicate/kill those pathogens. Our little guy also has Lyme with no co-infection. He has started to take Byron White AL-Complex for the last two months. So far so good. In the last few days, I did notice him a bit extra with hand flapping which was has lessen alot. I have heard about parasites and full moon having some effect but I am not sure. I pray and hope he gets better. Rolando To: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, August 3, 2012 12:37 PM Subject: Advice Wanted

my first instinct would be that maybe he is reacting to some of the supps he is on? I have heard of DAN docs giving all kinds of supps that may do more harm then good....mainstream docs....dont get me started..with my son when things get bad I always go back to the basics....easy to digest foods and slowly cut out all supps keep him off for a while and then slowly add them back in.

Hi ,

I've been researching Sutterella bacteria which has been found in high levels in the GI of children with autism but not found in the GI of healthy controls. I found these studies and link. The first link includes treatment protocols. May be worth asking your sons doctor about this.

we have had great results starting with our homeopath, we're doing that at the same time as all his supps. this behaviour also started for our son when we stopped DMG, turns out it was a mood stabiliser for him, but he cat have too much either.
