Hello My name is I am 36 and we are about 12 weeks pregnant I think a little less but my doctor says 12 weeks seems about right to her. I had WLS 04/03 and Back surgery 05/03 all last year. I was not able to get pregnant the last 4 years we have tried and suddenly after going through fertility testing since May 2004 we became pregnant after giving up and deciding to wait util our new fertility doctor helps us out on Sept 30, 2004. Well we did not need to go see her as some time after July 22 (first day of my last period) we became " with child " on our own!!! Maybe the " giving up " and all the no stress worked. I came down with 2 kidney stones and was hospitalized 3 diferent times in September for them until they passed. Since I have had 15 surgeries since a drunk driver hit me in 1993 (spinal cord, neck. WLS, and back surgery) was all done 2002-2003 and since getting stones and testing high in sugar this Friday I was now sent to a new high risk doctor for next weeks appt. till until I deliver. I was taken off all medicines and all vitamins. Except for my foltrin, fintstones and my prenatel vitmins. I am in alot of pain since coming off my pain meds for my back neck and spinal cord. They are sending me to a pain clinic to teach me how to use my tens unit, and to get me a brace to keep the future baby weight off my back. I have seen a nutrionist every 3 weeks since July of this year and I have lost 14 pounds since becomng pregnant due to afternoon sickness. Has anyone been over a year out and lost this much in there first three months due to being sick? She has me on 6 small meals a day including snaks. I try to eat a lot of chicken, fruit, raw veggies as those things will stay down. All dairy curdles in my pouch and comes up minutes later. No food looks good or tastes good to me as I have this metal taste in my mouth 24 hours a day that will not go away. Any good advice would be welcomed!!! Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:
