Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Hinds, There are many people from the Boston area that are all over this story. I'm ccing your mail to Maxwell, who is well-connected in Boston, to both MGH and BCH. It is heartbreaking, you can just see the pain in the parent's faces. Unofrtunately this is the second time this has happened with BCH. Ironically, BCH was just listed in this month's US News and World Report as the " Best Children's Hospital in America " (tied with Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, another notorious PANDAS-nonbelieving institution). This could have been any one of a number of parents at the Irvine conference ….. Dr.T Dr. T,I met you at the conference I know you treated the teens in Leroy and were interviewed about it. I’m the mom who wrote about her son’s recovery from autism and whose email you were kind enough to answer. This story needs to be told. Please help and use any of your media contacts to tell them about happened to the Wray Family. They went to Boston Children’s Hospital for treatment of their daughter, . As a result was taken from them by Child Protective Services because BCH does not believe in PANS exists. Do you know any media who would be interested in doing a story on this? Story that needs to go to the Media Remember the mystery illness in Leroy New York that caused more than a dozen students at Leroy High to come down with the Tourette’s-like symptoms? A child with a similar condition was taken to Boston Children’s Hospital for medical treatment by her parents. Boston Children’s Hospital does not believe that PANDAS exists and tried to place Wray in a psychiatric unit. Boston Hospital enlisted the help of Child Protective Services to stop the medical treatment her parents were doing under the supervision of two doctors. The Wray’s lost custody of on October 2, 2012 after a CPS court hearing. Beth Maloney, attorney and author of Saving Sammy, said in an email, “It is with a heavy heart that I inform you Wray was placed in the temporary custody of the State of Massachusetts this afternoon. This is a picture of 's parents, and Jay. They did absolutely nothing wrong. They are caring, lovely people whose daughter was diagnosed with PANDAS/PANS by two different physicians, and they diligently sought appropriate treatment for her. They have asked me to publicly share their story because they are going to need your help to get their daughter back. Please reach out to any media contacts you may have.” Beth Maloney saved her own child, Sammy, after he came down with PANDAS. Sammy is now completely and enjoying life at a major university. Beth Maloney was in court with this family trying to help them retain custody of . The treatments she used with her own son were similar to the ones used to help .This story needs to be told.
