Have you tested his liver function? Have you pulled titers lately? Are you on an antifungal? Lots of things to consider here. May need to switch antivirals. Dark circles could be allergies, could be phenols, could be adrenals, could be yeast, could be lots of things. Dark urine and bright yellow - sounds like he's probably not drinking enough but I obviously don't know that for sure.

Cheryl or other moms... we are dosing 3 X 500 mgs per day since end of May. My son is 6, 48 lbs and biomed and GFCF since 18 months. We have seen slight gains - pretend play, eye contact, engagement but no rashes or fevers or cold sores.

He did get an ear infection in last week of August (2nd one ever) and we just finished 10 days of amoxycillin.

His pee is getting darker and bright yellow and there are no new supps. I don't like the dark circles under his eyes that I thought were illness related from the infection - but they're not getting better. His under eyes are dark and puffy - they look like allergy shiners.

I want to stop Valtex as I fear his liver or kidneys are trying to tell me something. I always worry with Rx's... like I may be doing more damage than the damage I'm trying to save him from.

Advice??

We were trying Valtrex because his HHV6 was so high and he regressed after roseola and then 8 shots. Once he broke out with cold sores after 2 days of Enhansa.. I thought we were going to find the wow with Valtrex but I'm not feeling it....

Thank you!
