Recalled: Children's pajamas from J.C. Penney

FRIDAY, Nov. 19 (BabyCenter News) - J.C. Penney is recalling about 41,300 pairs

of its Okie Dokie Alligator Football children's pajama sets in cooperation with

the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The patches on the front of the

pajamas can come off, and young children can choke on them. The company, based

in Plano, Texas, has gotten one report of the patches detaching but isn't aware

of any injuries at this time.

The recalled pajama shirts are heather gray with red or blue sleeves and

heat-sealed alligator and football patches on the front. A tag on the collar of

the top says " Okie Dokie. " The pajama pants are red or blue with cartoon

pictures of alligators, footballs, stars, and the word " football. " They were

sold in infant sizes 12M to 24M and toddler sizes 2T to 5T.

J.C. Penney stores nationwide sold the recalled pajamas from June 2004 through

September 2004 for about $22. They were made in Hong Kong.

This recall does not include a similar pajama set that has alligator and

football images silk-screened on the pajama shirts.
