Guest guest
what ever you do do not think of it as failing. To fail you have to do something wrong. If your milk doesn't come in it is not your fault. My milk never came in with my son, so i had to fourmula feed him. I will try again with this baby but I will know ahead of time that if doesnt work out it is okay, and i did not fail. My son is 3 and has only had 1 ear infection and has been healthy as a horse. By the way my boobs are leaking the cloudy stuff also and I am 24 weeks along. Guest guest
i don't think you will have a problem. i wasn't able to BF my son 5 years ago, but it is because of the size of my nipples, they weren't big eough to stimulate the roof of his mouth, and my boobs were too big anyway, i pumped for 6 months instead. i had milk come in at 7 months pregnant. my boobs are also very droppy...you can do it, i say jsut wait til baby is here and see how she/he attaches, pump otherwise...i'm sure it'll be fine... aka mom2ben99 (jennilee75@...) Baby boy due 2/17/05-Shanndon original wt. 342/current wt. 206/goal wt. 140 Bmilk - is this normal? I tried to breastfeed my son seven years ago...before WLS and only did it for three weeks because my milk never fully came in and it was with doctor suggestion. Doctor and consultant said it was more than likely the size of my breasts...and that they were so large that they constricted the milkflow to my ducts. I never 'leaked' at night, never had to wear pads, they never hurt and they seemed to dry up overnight...barely even noticed that I ever had milk! BEFORE having him, they were leaking colostrum by they eighth month...but that was it...clear colostrum. This pregancy I'm REALLY HOPING that I can breastfeed successfully. My weight has been a steady 130ish, I've worn a 34B for nearly three years (VERY saggy though) and I obviously eat much healthier now. What's concerning me is that while my right breast is leaking colostrum, my left is already beyond that and is leaking WHITE! Sometimes it's not even cloudy....it's like actual milk! What is wrong with my chest? Does this mean that I'm going to have a problem again? Does my 'droopiness' mean that they won't be able to supply milk AGAIN? This really stinks...the doctor (alike the first doctor - before I actually tried) keeps telling me that it'll have no bearing....but I'm afraid I'm going to fail at it again!
