Update -- Today's ultrasound / OB visit

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers today.

Unfortunately, we have miscarried (I was 9 wks pg). I knew it was a

possibility, but it was still difficult to hear.

The staff at both offices was so nice and considerate -- the

ultrasound tech immediately told us what we were seeing (and not

seeing) and explained everything. When we got to the Dr.'s office

(only one block away), they already had the report of the findings

and were ready to speak with us immediately. The compassion from

both of these offices was really amazing.

I'll be having a D & C tomorrow. The hopeful side is that both times

we've been pregnant -- both with my daughter and with this

pregnancy, we became PG the first month we tried. So, we'll rest

for a few cycles, and then try again.

And, I think this makes me appreciate my little Caroline even more --

knowing that I had spotting with her, but everything worked out

alright. Having her smile at us this evening has helped make

everyone feel better.

Thanks again to everyone for your consideration, and good luck to

everyone with your pregnancies. I'm planning on lurking about on

this group, hoping that in a few months we'll be able to report that

we're pregnant again.
