Guest guest
Hi Trish I had the same with my first pregnancy and the doc said it was caused by the shifting of my hips getting ready to give birth. Since my first pregnancy I have had it with the other two and now that nubmer 4 is on the way I am noticing the same feeling slowly coming back. I dont know if its the same but it sounds almost Identical. I got to the point being overweight at the time, I was almost unable to walk very far without almost falling. I rode the mobiles at the supermarket so I could get groceries. I would talk to your doc if it continues. Most of the day as I walk around I can feel it sore, as if I had a muscle that was pulled but is almost healed. Just tender etc........But not bad enough to make me walk funny or anything. But at night when I get home, after I have sat for awhile, it cramps BAD! I will get up, take a few steps and suddenly I can't walk anymore. It hurts so bad that I have to grab the wall or my husband. It makes me want to cry. So that happens all evening and getting in and out of bed is hard as well. By morning I am fine. Anyone know what this could be? Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:

Hi there Trisha,Congrats on your Pg.Youre allmost done YAY!Youre so luck y to have a girl Thats what I hope were having.....I had the worst pain ever around 28wks all the way until delivery,It hurt so bad I couldnt sleep and was miserable daily,It turned out it was my sciatic nerve and it was my right side from my hip down it would give me trouble,They say the baby lies on the nerve I dont know the exact cause but They gave me tylenol 3 for when I was unbearable,Hopefully this isnt what you have because it isnt fun,Can you go to the chiropractor and get an adjustment?or maybe a maternity massage?I went to the chiropractor yesterday IM only 11 wks but he did a fantastic job and My right hip and leg has been messing with me again so He popped it and it was an insane popping sound but I got relief however I have pain still and IM gonna go back tomorrow.Well anyhow Have your hubby rub it it,Maybe some muscle rub like flexall,Walking usually aggravates it..Also extra calcium can help If youre having charlie horses?Youre legs get real tight at night? It could be the baby sucking all your calcium?Viactiv might help ya.....I have been told cal citrate is the fastes absorbing for us...Or it could be lack of potassium Eat soem bananas...Or maybe youre legs are just restless and you should go take an evening walk when it feels like this or a warm bubble bath....... Hope you feel better soon best of luck celena in ca Post op 10-2-03 11 wks Pg ..245/
Guest guest
Trisha - I know exactly what it is.. SCIATICA! Often when pregnant(or overweight) this is affected.. Its a sciatic nerve that runs from your back down your legs. The baby often irritates it.. Really- nothing you can do for it.. My dr said exercise but thats when it hurts.. Some say you can take an anti-inflamatory pill but I never tried that.. have hubby massage it and if your Ob allows, take hot baths.... It should get better after baby gets here. ~Ginny, Proud Mommy of Wally and y Born 10-19-
Guest guest
A girl here at work had what sounds like the same pain (she hasn't had WLS but is overweight) and her doctor said it was a pinched nerve- comepletely related to pregnancy. WHen she went on mat. leave and rested more she said it got much better. Kristeen
