Do my son have to eat wheat 1st and then take the test or does it it not matter?

I thought you didn't have to actually eat the food before testing for it to show

up positive. We are retaking the test but have not been on dairy or gluten for

years.....

TIA,

CAr

Everyone in my family tested allergic to both wheat and dairy, yet

we have returned to the dairy, most of us. Anyhow, I also have

members of my family who have no symptoms and are allergic to

wheat. So, it's not really the allergy, it's more the gluten.

Word is that you don't have to be allergic to gluten for it to

enter your brain and make one seem "doped-up" or

"out-of-control". The leaky-gut and inability to digest gluten

are two things that get blamed. Anyhow, we have tested allergic

to foods that we have never in our life consumed. Also, I have

heard of people stating that they gave their child wheat after a

test failed to reveal the allergy. After consuming the wheat,

they re-tested and then the test did show the allergy. Sorry the

testing is so difficult. I would give my kids wheat before the

test if they don't react to one serving of it. But, I have one

who bangs, destroys, and acts totally out of control for two days

upon the smallest amount of gluten. Thus, for her, no way would I

give it to her. But, she sneaks it every once in a while, and

whoa, it's really a nightmare. Other than that, she can now do

regular school.

Love and prayers,

Heidi N

this is talking about several differnet things.

intollerences are IGG, they show through bloating, gas, behavoiral issues. etc leaky gut

allergies IGE mediated, rashes, breathing issues

opiate issues (peptides) the "high" doped up thing. these are ALL tested DIFFERENTLY! you can't test an allergy on an intollerence panel or and peptide on IGG tesitng. you have to run them ALL to find out which type of issues you have.

another thing to keep in mind each food has a life cycle span. milk is 2 weeks on IGG testing, so if you are not on milk with in 2 weeks of testing it wont show if its an issue or not. gluten is 8 months
