Guest guest
Hi everyone... Well, I emailed the list yesterday letting you know that the official news is that we are pregnant and due July 27. I think I might have mentioned something about some mild cramping, too. Well, yesterday I was out running errands and the cramping got really severe. It hurt so bad. I happened to be near my dh's office so I stopped to see him and tell him what was going on. He told me to go home (I was about 25 minutes from home) and get to the dr. right away. I got to the clinic and one of my best friend's was there waiting for me. My dh, knowing he couldn't be with me, called her and asked if she would meet me there. Sweet, huh?? I've got a wonderfully thoughtful hubby. Anyway, I got in to see my ob/gyn. I thought he'd think I was being paranoid about things, but he was so kind to me. He did a vaginal ultra sound, so I actually got to see our baby!!! Granted, it's just a dark spot on the screen, but there was the sac. I was so excited!! I almost started crying. They drew blood to check the hCG levels and the progesterone levels and I'll go back again tomorrow to have more blood drawn to re-check the hCG and make sure it's doubling like it should. He said that everything looks just fine. I'll also go back next week for another ultrasound. Maybe we'll be able to see the heart beat next week?? I'll be one day shy of 6 weeks gestation next Monday. I'm feeling MUCH better today. Just very, very mild cramping. Hardly there at all. In all honesty, I think the bad cramps yesterday were due to irrital bowel syndrome. I've never been diagnosed, but I think I have IBS when I have my period, so I suppose it makes sense that I'd get period like cramps and IBS now, since I'd have my period if I weren't pregnant. I'm working from home today so I can pretty much stay in bed and just relax. I'm not taking any chances. Thanks for listening to me ramble again. You guys are the best!! Love and peace...
