Guest guest
Hey everyone... OK. So I'm an obsessive tester. I confess. I took my first pregnancy test on Monday the 15th. That was 5 days before I should have gotten my period. As you know, it came back positive. It was very faint, but positive none the less. Then, just to " make sure, " I took another test on Wednesday...and this time I took it right away in the morning instead of the afternoon. You guessed it...it came back positive again...and a bit darker this time. So, I promised myself I wouldn't do it, but Friday came and I HAD to take one more test. It came back positive again (is anyone shocked about that?? LOL) and this time MY line was even darker than the control line!!! YEAH!! I wouldn't even have taken that third test on Friday except for that night I had a dream that I had gotten my period and I freaked out when I woke up. And I guess after miscarrying in July, well, I'm just freaked out in general. By the way...I go to the doctor tomorrow for the " official " confirmation. Now for my funny story. I can't remember if I shared this with you or not, but I'm a little " concerned " (not concerned...it would be fun...but I use that for lack of a better word) that I may have multiples. I took Clomid this cycle. I'm 37 (will be about 6 weeks shy of 38 when I deliver) and I've heard that your chances of having multiples increases with age. And I know that multiples are supposed to come from the mother's side of the family (I have none that I know of on my side), but my dh's mom AND dad BOTH have twins AND triplets in their families. It has to start somewhere, right?? So, knowing that there is a chance for multiples with me, even though it might be slight, this is what happened to me today. I was making apple bread pudding (have lots of bread and apples to use up) and the recipe calls for 2 eggs. I broke the first egg and guess what I saw?? It was a " double yolker. " I called my husband up to look at it. He just smiled. Then he made some comment about the second egg having 2 yolks as well. I just laughed and said, " Yeh, right. It's weird enough to have ONE egg like that. " Well, I broke open the second egg and, you guessed it, it had two yolks as well. OH MY GOODNESS!!! Now I know that's not really a sign, but isn't that WEIRD??? I just laughed. I had used over half of this carton of eggs already and didn't have any other doubles, so I just thought it was a bit odd. Thanks for listening to me ramble and share my story. You guys are the best. Love and peace...
