Guest guest
I stopped taking birth control in the beginning of July to give my body time to get back to normal so that we could start trying to conceive this month. I began bleeding within a week of removing my last patch. Unfortunately, over two months later I have yet to STOP bleeding. I've been going through 6 pads a day since the first week of July and I'm starting not to feel well. I'm tired-no, exhausted. I'm dizzy. I'm miserable. My hubby and I had been having sex up until about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure if the sudden exhaustion could be caused by being pregnant or if it's just from all the bleeding I've been doing. I have an appointment at my OBGYN on Thursday, so I guess I'll find out soon enough. Any ideas in the meantime? Or has anyone else gone through this when they quit taking contraceptives? Any help, ideas, or insight is so appreciated! Thank you!
Guest guest
I had this same problem a few years ago. They gave me provera to *start* my period, then gave me bcp's to stop/regulate it. Ask about this combination and see what they tell you. After a few months on the pills (3 or 4 I think it was) my cycles started a period every 28 days like clockwork for the next 25 years. GOod luck!
