Guest guest
My son suffers from PLMS (periodic limb movement syndrome) which is related to RLS. Sounds like you have the symptoms of RLS, there really isn't anything that you can take for it while pregnant, but if you are anemic it can aggravate the symptoms and make them worse. I have leg cramps really bad, but it is realted to the pregnacy and I hope that it goes away after the baby is born. If I can help more let me know. Helen Restless Leg syndrome Hello. I've been suffering lately from a bout of what I believe to be restless leg syndrome. Late in the evenings, I get this feeling in my lower legs (knees and calves) that I have to move. I end up spending my time pacing behind the sofa while my husband sits on the sofa and watches me. For the last two nights, it's been so bad I've been walking the hall at 2 am because it's waking me up. Last night, I put Icy Hot on my knees--the burning sensation and the odor took my focus from the creepy crawly must walk now feeling, and I was able to fall asleep. I slept for several hours, which was great. Does anyone else suffer from this? Also, Icy Hot is ok to rub on my knees when preggers, right? It's menthol and a small amount of camphor, but I am freaking out that I've done something to mess up the kid. Thanks, open rny 4/01 edd w/#1 2/4/05 Children are a blessing, and a gift from the Lord. -Psalm 127:
Guest guest
IS this pregnancy related? I have been having the exact same thing for a couple of weeks now...mostly at night or sometimes sitting in one position, like in the car, for long periods of time. You mentioned your left thigh, I used to have problems with mine as well...I'd wake up in the middle of the night and go to move my leg and it would be like that area was " asleep " and moving it would wake it up. It would be a really sharp pain and tingling. I haven't had trouble with it since losing weight, but I was wondering can you have this RLS just during pregnancy? It can be very uncomfortable...I feel for you both. Meredith S. --- Tinsley wrote: > > > YES, ,. I have the same thing. Restless Leg > Syndrome is horrible to live with.
