Guest guest
Remember al the griping & moaning I did in the last two weeks about the glucose test ordered for me?? I found the studies, protested with my husband etc... I was given a choice of starting immediate diabetic care with multiple finger prickings and the expense of those darn test strips or take the glucose test. I went for it after much debate with two of the docs at the practice. It was a 50 gm glucose test with a one hour wait for blood draw. They layed me down in a bed at the lab, gave me a call button and were very very very careful with me. Guess what?? I *DID NOT DUMP*. The doc claims the 3 hour test is far worse, with 100 grams of glucose. He says I will *NOT* have to get that one. So is there a difference with the 1 hour 50 gram and the 3 hour 100 gram and gastric bypass patients?? Or did some of you get sick on the 50 gram/1 hour?? Was I lucky or was my doctor right?? Thanks for the input! 10 weeks and still vomiting, hoping it will end soon
