13 weeks + abdominal pain

Hi. My name is and I am 13 weeks pregnant. I saw someone else

post about pain and it sounded somewhat similar to what I've been

experiencing. I had lapRNY on 1/15/04 and about 1 1/2 months after my

surgery, I went to the er with severe central abdominal pain that

spread around to my back. They did xrays and took blood, ruled out my

appendix and a couple of other things (I already had my gallbladder

removed years ago, though the pain seemed reminiscent) and sent me

home in pain. It lasted through the night and then went away the next

day. I told my surgeon and they thought it was gas. I had been eating

left over chicken & broccoli for a couple of days. That made sense to

me even though I thought what I experienced seemed way too severe for

gas. I decided that the next time it happened, I would head straight

to my surgeon and make them figure out exactly what it was. Well, it

never came back. Then, a couple of weeks after I got pregnant, it

came back again and has happened a couple of times since. It is so

painful and I am really scared. I haven't been examined but have

called my primary and my surgeon about it and they have both said

they thought it was gas. I made an appt to see my primary tomorrow

because I would really like to get to the bottom of this. My surgeon

said that if it was an obstruction, the pain wouldn't come and go

from time to time. They said it would be constant. I think they just

don't want to deal with it because I am pregnant and they can't do a

CT scan like they normally would. Any advice?
