Guest guest
Hi. I had the RNY (distal) 3 1/2 years ago and have maintained a pretty high sugar sensitivity (which my surgeon finds fascinating). If I eat more than 15 grams of sugar in a sitting, I dump. However, I have noticed over the last month or two of my pregnancy (I'm in my 23rd week), I have become even more sensitive to sugar and fat. Is this common? My dumping is more severe and my tolerance is lower. I am due for my GTT soon (am doing the 2 hour post-prandial) and am worried this increasing sensitivity is a sign of gestational diabetes. Thanks for any feedback you all can provide. open RNY 4/01 edd 2/4/05 with my first!
