Guest guest
Here is a little background. I had open RNY 150 cm bypassed 3/31/03 starting in at 367.5 lbs. I am now bouncing around between 230 and 235 (since January). Before surgery I had been diagnosed with PCOS.. my periods were very few and VERY far between. My daughter was born in 1992 and was a first try baby. At her birth I had an 8 lb ovarian cyst and they had to remove my right ovary. THIS is when my cycles went haywire and I started getting all the signs of PCOS. I had my son in 1997 (conceived him during a 6 month dry spell) and did not use BC until a month before WLS and only conceived once during that 6 something years and had a very early term miscarriage. Fast forward to 6 months ago... I stopped taking the BC pill and avoided " that time of month " because my dh was still not sure he wanted another. This past month was the 1st " real " month of trying (were together 5 times during that few day spread) and according to an ovulation predictor I ovulated on day 17 and today is day 31. Would an ovulation predictor show positive if I didn't actually release an egg?? My cycles have been on time and around 28-30 days for the past 6 months. Ok, so I take an over the counter test and get a BFN. I have a few signs... but am not sure if I am just trying to fool my body into thinking it's pg. I just don't feel like I am going to start anytime soon though! I do know that I " KNEW " I was pg with my son for a week before the urine test came back positive at the doctor's office. I went in 3 times that week! lol Any advice/first hand experience/encouragement with OTC tests?? LOL If I am just fooling myself into thinking positive I want to get it over with so I can get on with trying again this month LOL!!! HELP! ourkidsmom@...
