Guest guest
Hi Kelli... First...I'm SOOOOOOO sorry to hear about your loss. Going through a miscarriage is so very painful...mostly emotionally. I found out on July 19th that we were pregnant with our first. I had a miscarriage on July 23rd. I still have days that are tough. You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time. Second...talk to your OB/GYN to see what he/she suggests about waiting. I think most doctors have different ideas about that. I was surprised, frankly, after our miscarriage when my ob/gyn told me we could pretty much start trying right away. I think the only reason he said that was because of my " AMA " (advanced maternal age). I turned 37 in September and he knows I'm kind of against the clock here. HOWEVER...it turned out that I ended up having to wait 3 months to try again because I found out via my prenatal labs that I had lost my immunization against rubella. Right after the miscarriage I had to get the immunization and therefore had to wait. In all honesty, I was totally bummed at first about having to wait. In retrospect, I'm so glad I had to. Emotionally I needed time to grieve for my baby. I needed time to " get things in order " and get my body back into better shape. I've been working hard at that and feel that I'm finally ready to be pregnant. We started trying this cycle (I ovulated 2 days ago), so hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll have good news of a BFP to share with everyone. I guess the bottom line is to talk to your ob/gyn and take the time you need to be physically and emotionally ready for another pregnancy. Love and peace and positive thoughts coming your way...
