Hello all. We went in yesterday for our 21 week ultrasound and

appointment. How amazing to be able to see everything so clearly!

We have 2 arms, 2 legs, a complete spinal column, a pumping heart

with all 4 chambers, stomach, kidneys and bladder all on video as

well as fingers....all those little bones! Everything looks

perfectly normal, according to my doctor, and my due date was only

adjusted one day back. He said he likes it when the dates are that

close consistently through the pregnancy. He didn't bring up the AFP

test results, and I didn't ask because, well, if everything looks

normal, why ask about a test that isn't all that great anyway? LOL,

yes, I love to live in denial.

I gained 5 lbs last month according to their scale. I HATE THEIR

SCALE!! We also discussed the Gestational Diabetes test upcoming. I

told him that I couldn't take the glucose test and requested the 2

hour post prandial. He said that the two hour test was not as

accurate. I told him that due to the GBS, I couldn't do the 50 grams

of glucose without passing out. At first he said, " well, let's try

it and see what happens. " That's when my husband piped in with, " she

can't do it, she gets very very sick off of just a touch of sugar. "

So, my doctor agreed with us to try the 2 hour test and then said

that if he didn't like the results we may have to do some fasting

tests. Anyone know what those consist of, other than not eating?

Thanks for letting me ramble!
