Guest guest
Hi , I am 37 weeks and I have to say, since the time my little girl started to move, its been non stop. Not particularily painful though, just very strange. Its funny that you say your little guy is doing the " lord of the dance " because my saying is that she is doing the " macarena " non stop, lol. There is always a little hand or foot going or the strangest rolling sensation in my belly that is visible. My favorite is when she has the hiccups (like right now, lol) I know I am going to miss this so much in a few days (I am being induced later today due to preeclampsia!!!). As for measurements, as long as they are not too far out they don't worry too much (>4cm). As long as the ultrasounds have shown growth, adequate fluid levels etc, my Dr's have been happy with me. I have had an u/s every week for the past few - they do something called a biophysical profile after 32 weeks which scores baby on the growth, movement, fluid level etc. to make sure everything is okay. With measurements, there has only been one week where I have measured right on where I should be. Usually I have been two to three weeks small and I didn't really look pg til about a month or so ago anyway. Someone told me I am carrying deep in my pelvis (first baby).. Anyway, good luck with your delivery soon. May I ask why you are having a csection? Just curious, especially since I may need one too. Hope this message helps a bit. Hugs, EDC Nov 10. Guest guest
First of all, congrats on your first baby and good luck with your induction this week! I've also been told that I'm carrying this one real low...in fact just last week I had a very short u/s to verify WHAT IN THE WORLD was poking at my cervix. It was clear as day...the baby has his legs completely 'outward', he's facing the front, kind of sideways and while his left leg is in my ribs, his right foot is STRAIGHT DOWN into my vaginal area and we saw it in action. He's pushing up all his weight with his right foot! The doctor said it actually looked like his foot was caught. I wound up having an emergency csection with my son. I'm severly anemic and have low blood pressure (last wk it was 82/51) so I guess the baby will get used to this as well. They gel'd me at 42 wks...and started Petocin shortly after. During the THIRD day of 12-hr Petocin (they THANKFULLY do not abuse mommies like that anymore!) I was still at 2cm, 100% effaced but my blood pressure went skyhigh (for me) at 135/90. This put my son in major distress...his pressure was all over...175 all the way down to 38...that's when I was rushed down the hall, hair in the wind...and he was out in 3 minutes. They also later found out that my pelvic opening is very small and he would have NEVER EVER fit through there. He actually had a 'conehead' for a week where his head was stuck!
