Guest guest
My son had been doing great for 2 weeks on 1 250 mg cap. We upped it to 2 caps a day and all hell broke loose! It is hard to say if it was the diflican or die off? Anyway, we lowered back down to 1 250 mg tab a day and added a bit if nystatin. He seems back to himself. Should we stay here? Or should we increase it again? It seems as though nystatin is better tolerated? Any advice would be great. Guest guest
250 mg is too low.Die off is normal so yes, all hell breaking loose is a good sign.Nystatin is not strong enough but you shouldn't start them at the same time. You pretty much have to suffer through the die off because it's the only way to know what's doing what. You can't confuse them because then you won't learn what does what and when something isn't right you won't know which it is. Start one, wait 30 days to start the other.Staying at 250mg won't do anyting for you and it could contribute to viral mutation. Antivirals suffer the same problems as antibiotics.
