Guest guest
I will be ttc soon. I have moved to another state from where I had the bypass, so seeing my surgeon about pregnancy issues isn't an option. Here's my question: since I am not pregnant yet, do I just talk with my primary care doc about the nutritional issues that might be involved and to get an RX for prenatal vitamins? Or do I find an OBGYN first? I haven't even met my PCP yet, but have an appt scheduled anyway. My boyfriend is a family practice doc, and he has really not much of a clue about the bypass/pregnancy issue. He can look it up, of course, but I'm wondering if an OBGYN might know more than a PCP.
