Guest guest
Does anyone have experience with the public school not being able to handle their child and the public school having to foot the bill for a private school? My son is alone in a classroom with a teacher and 2 aides, and they still can't handle him. His diagnoses include: 1. autism 2. bipolar (mood disorder) 3. behavior disorder (sometimes self mutilates) 4. intermittent explosive disorder and 5. obsessive compulsive (not officially diagnosed, but he is) Thanks! Guest guest
Shelley - you can try to find another solution and then petition the school. You have to make a case that thy are not providing a free and appropriate education for him. Has he made progress in his goals? If not this is of course helpful. Sometimes schools are ready toAdmit thy cant handle a child. This is not usually the case though. Check out slaw.com. Lots of good info there. Was also wondering. Have you looked into pandas. Your description sounds like it. You can find info on pandasnetwork.org. Best of luck.
