Guest guest
hello everyone its me razan. well i can share my experience and hope it helps. as far as abdominal pain is concerned. i had pain like what some of you are describing . my first episode was in march of 04 , 5 months post op. it was so bad i could not walk. i went under a hot shower and it helped. it went away in about one hour. the next time it happened was in june of 04. this time i was on the ground and was pail. my symptoms were sharp pains high right where the puuvh is . feels like someone is cutting you in half. it did carry to my back. i was vomiting but nothing would come up. my husband took me to er after three hours of this pain. they admitted me right away, $8000 later of cat scans and exrays, they ruled out stones, ulser, and obstruction. they ambulenced me to another town since im a kaiser pat. there they did an upper gi. here they found that my food is not passing through my intestince fast enough and it was just backed up. thats why the pain eventually takes care of itself. i was put on serious pain killers and stayed in the hos. for 4 days. all they could tell me is that i need to chew better, ( mind you i only had scrambled eggs the morning of this episode. ) i have not touched eggs since.......i was told that it could happen any day at any time and there is nothing i can do about it. this is my experience . i make sure now that if i do not have a BM in more than two days i load up on my greens to not let the backup happen again. Sheila (being a nurse, that is the only thing I associate with after weight loss is GB trouble).
